Chamber of Commerce
Welcome
The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the "Heart of Tennessee." Our county is uniquely located in the geographic center of the state and our people exemplify the heart of Southern hospitality.
Rutherford County boasts a healthy economy with a diverse blend of business and industry, a low unemployment rate and a thriving restaurant and retail market. As Tennessee's fifth most populated county, we have achieved unprecedented growth in all areas of our economy. All economic indicators point toward the same continued growth well into the future.
Middle Tennessee State University, the largest university in the state, is located in Murfreesboro. Our local schools earned the Governor's A-Plus Award for Excellence in Education. The county's commitment to education is also reflected through the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Business Education Partnership, which sponsors programs for the benefit of public/private school students.
Dedicated to a rich quality of life, Rutherford County features a lively arts program and varied recreational activities, including a beautiful Greenway Trail System throughout the county, golf courses, soccer, and baseball, along with boating and fishing on scenic Percy Priest Lake. History and historic sites abound in the county, which is home to the Stones River National Battlefield, Cannonsburgh Village, Oaklands Historic House Museum, the Sam Davis Home and the Discovery Center at Murfree Springs.
We are very proud of our community and invite you to learn for yourself why so many people and businesses think Rutherford County is a great place to live and do business.
