Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC), in Murfreesboro, has more than 288 beds and is affiliated with Baptist and Saint Thomas Hospitals in Nashville.
MTMC is the largest, most comprehensive hospital in the corridor bridging Nashville and Chattanooga. The hospital offers a wide array of specialized services and continues to grow, recently opening a comprehensive cancer center and new ambulatory surgery and diagnostic center.

The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at StoneCrest provides a full range of services for preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center is the nation's largest community-based cancer treatment and research program, providing comprehensive services through a network of facilities and physicians to meet the medical needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
StoneCrest Medical Center will open an $8.6 million expansion project in spring 2007. The project will add two finished operating rooms, six additional recovery rooms and two shelled operating rooms.

The Alvin C. York Veterans Administration Campus in Murfreesboro is a regional facility with 510 hospital beds and 166 nursing home beds. The medical facility provides primary care and subspecialty medical, surgical, and psychiatric services to veterans.
The campus provides long-term rehabilitation and nursing home care, and serves as a VISN 9 resource for the long-term inpatient care of psychiatric patients. The medical center has a well-established primary care program and provides subspecialty care in:
