Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC)
Middle Tennessee Medical Center has continued, since 1927, to expand in size and services to meet patients’ health care needs. MTMC is the largest, most comprehensive hospital between Nashville and Chattanooga. With a medical staff of more than 350 physicians covering nearly every available specialty, MTMC is able to serve the community better than ever before.
On October 2, 2010 the new Middle Tennessee Medical Center opened for patients on 1700 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro. The new 286-bed, $267 million facility more than doubles the size of MTMC’s current hospital. With advanced offerings in diagnostics, surgery and maternal services, the new Middle Tennessee Medical Center can care for the growing area better than ever before – and for many
years to come.
Saint Thomas Heart at Middle Tennessee Medical Center is Murfreesboro’s dedicated heart program, providing patients with the highest level of heart care. As part of Saint Thomas Heart, the cardiologists perform many of the same interventional procedures that, until recently, were only available in Nashville.
The Center for Breast Health at Middle Tennessee Medical Center is dedicated to complete breast health, offering two digital mammography units, stereotactic breast biopsies and bone densitometry.

Through this advanced, patient-centered approach, MTMC gives hope to thousands across Middle Tennessee and winning the war against cancer - one patient at a time.
