Event Description: Gallery/Showcase as the culmination of the week. Daily we are bombarded with thousands of visual images that impact emotion, direct thoughts, spur us to action and generally inspire us to consider creating unique visual images of our own. “I wish I could do that” is a phrase often uttered by individuals who could in fact create if they just had a chance and the right instruction. Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will guide students through the process of art conception using painting, mixed media, and digital photography. They will also be encouraged to consider new ways of expressing themselves during daily sketch time and practice sessions. Each student will complete three finished projects and at least two will be included in the juried gallery showcase. There will be a guest appearance by a working artist and focus on displaying and marketing art. Ages For 4th-12th graders Students will be assigned to a group for the week.
